(VOVworld) – Leaders of Ho Chi Minh city met with the city’s outstanding war veterans on Sunday. Delegates praised the significant contributions of war veterans to the city’s development since its liberation 40 years ago.
They have helped to fight corruption, wastefulness, and bureaucracy and protect and develop the nation. In his address, Party Secretary Le Thanh Hai said he hoped the war veterans will continue to uphold their political will and contribute to the municipal war veterans’ association: “Each war veteran should set a bright example in all patriotic emulation movements and support the local Party committee and administration. I hope that the war veterans’ association and its emulation movements will contribute more to the city’s development.”
