PANO – Da Nang City Border Guard Command on April 3rd held ceremony to mark the 40th anniversary of its traditional day and receive the first-class National Protection Order.
Over the past time, the unit’s troops have united and overcome difficulties to fulfil the mission of defending national sovereignty and security in coastal areas and actively participated in activities for social, economic and cultural development. The unit sent more than 380 turns of ships for missions at sea, dealt with 120 foreign trawlers that encroached upon Vietnam’s territorial water, cooperated with other forces to capture drug dealers, and mobilised troops to help locals cope with natural disasters and overcome its consequences.
For its achievements, the command, its organs, units and individuals have been granted with many noble awards by the Party, State, Ministry of National Defence, Border Guard Command and the city People’s Committee.
