(VOVworld) – Leaders of the US, UK, France, Germany, and Italy agreed Tuesday that a strong response would be necessary if the Minsk peace agreement adopted last month is violated. The agreement was voiced during a video conference that addressed the Ukraine situation and other global security threats.
They reached consensus on further sanctions against Russia as one possible response. President Barack Obama said the US is thinking about providing arms and other military equipment to Ukraine. The leaders voiced their support for strengthening the presence and role of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe in monitoring the ceasefire.
