PANO – Second Lieutenant Le Van Thien, a non-commissioned officer and staff of the Logistics Department of the Thua Thien-Hue Provincial Border Guard Command, has returned a wallet to its owner.
Having found the wallet on his way to the barracks on March 4th, the officer reported it to his senior officers.
In the wallet, there were VND 8.5 million in cash, ID, a driving licence, health insurance card, ATM card and a student’s card named Tran Van Son, a native of the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak.
Thien’s unit promptly contacted the wallet’s owner, who is a junior at the College of Law, Hue University.
On the following day, Son came to the unit and received his leather wallet after information relating to him had been verified.
The officer is an honest and self-respectful person though his family lives in a very difficult condition in Huong Tra town, Thua Thien-Hue province.
With his good deed, he was commended by the provincial Border Guard Command.
