Under the deal, Emerald will operate under the new name Emerald – Linked by Isobar and become a member company of Isobar, a Dentsu Aegis Network’s global digital marketing agency.
According to Dick van Motman, chairman and CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network in Southeast Asia, the partnership is a step forward to expand the market and maintain Dentsu’s leading position in the Southeast Asian region. Vietnam is considered a potential market for the development of digital marketing.
The number of Dentsu’s employees in HCMC and Hanoi will increase 242 to from 162 after the deal.
Emerald was established in 2009 by Thi Anh Dao and Nguyen Khoa Hong Thanh, and has since implemented multiple contracts for big names including Adidas, Air France, BMW, Co.opmart, Heineken, KAO, Kaspersky Lab, Menarini and Samsung.
Dao continues working at Emerald as managing director of the company while Thanh is operations director.
