(VOVworld) – A court in Denmark has accused two men of aiding the gunman who killed two people in the attacks in Copenhagen on February 14.
Michael Juul Eriksen, a defense lawyer for one of the men, said the two men being held are charged with providing and disposing of the weapon used in the shootings on a synagogue in Krystalgade and a free-speech event in Krudttoenden, as well as with helping the gunman to hide. The suspects, who have not been named, appeared in a closed custody hearing on Monday.
Earlier, police said the man they shot dead on Sunday was Omar Abdel Hamid El-Hussein, a Danish-born 22-year-old with a background in criminal gangs. Investigators said the suspect had a history of assault and weapons offenses.
