Dong Thap is putting the finishing touch to preparations. Its 3,000 seat sports complex has undergone maintenance and Wifi has been installed in accommodation reserved for both press and competitors.

The organising board has selected 60 volunteers, fluent in English, to welcome foreign friends and introduce them to the province’s many attractions.

The WSC was held in Hungary in 2000 and 2007, in China in 2001, 2005 and 2010, and in Germany in 2003. Vietnamese athletes have claimed championship titles at every tournament thus far.
