PANO – The second Vietnam Book Day and a book festival were kicked off at the Thong Nhat Park in Hanoi on April 17th in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam.
The event aimed to promote the reading habit in the community, raise public awareness of books value, appreciate the efforts of those involved in book development, and enhance responsibility of various sectors, social organizations and individuals towards promoting reading in Vietnam.
About 100 publishers and distributors across the country showcased a wide-range of books sold at discounted prices at more than 150 booths.
The book festival will last till April 21st.
