Child-prodigy in traditional music wins “Vietnam’s Got Talent 2015″

Nguyen Duc Vinh, the 9-year-old boy from the northern province of Bac Ninh won the the ‘Vietnam’s Got Talent 2015’ competition that ended in Ho Chi Minh City on April 5.


The talented boy triumphed over three others, including the Chuon Chuon Giay band, Bich Ngoc and the twin Gia Linh-Gia Bao to receive a cash prize of VND500 million.


The little boy was introduced to traditional music early and has a passion for the folk music at age 3. His performances using genres of folk music, such as Cheo, Chau Van and Tuong, absolutely persuaded the juru members during the competion. Meritorious Artist Thanh Loc called him a prodigy artist.


The competition which began 6 months ago attracted thousands of contestants from across the country.


The programme gives a chance for people of all age groups to turn their dreams into reality. They can showcase their talent by singing, dancing, performing magic and other forms of creative art performances.


Meritorious Artist Thanh Loc, comedian Hoai Linh, former model Thuy Hanh and musician Huy Tuan were the jury members for the TV show that was organised by VTV3.
