Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET), Quang Ngai province DoET and Finance-Accounting University on March 14 conducted the annual consulting program for university entrance for high school students in the province.
The program attracted the participation of 16 universities and colleges across the country; 13 professors, PhDs, and representatives from universities in HCM City, Da Nang city, Quang Ngai province, and more than 1,000 pupils from high schools in the province.
At the consulting program, education experts answered questions from students on regulations related to university majors, enrollment and career orientation.
Besides, consultants also provided information and reply queries on the changes to university admission policies for 2015.
Unlike previous years, the high school graduation and university entrance exams 2015 will be merged into one test, called the “National Exam,” which will be administered in the beginning of July.
Under the new regulation, students will have to take tests on four subjects, including three compulsory subjects of mathematics, literature, and a foreign language; as well as one optional subject taken from physics, chemistry, biology, history, and geography.
They can also take extra tests on other subjects for a better chance to get into their favorite universities and colleges.
